Over the course of the afternoon we had multicolour mange tout (yellow, green and purple [thank you Saddad]) and later home-grown strawberries and raspberries/blackcurrants/redcurrants with ice cream, all a mix from home and school gardening club.  The mange tout is going down well in packed lunches, even with my OH who hates peas and we are going to try to save some seed from the purple podded peas for next year.

The very very last asparagus, and because it knows it is now safe, giant thick spears are springing up all over the bed. Trying to ward off temptation to have one more treat.

cabbages looking good but leaving them for a few more days so it was strawberries and potatoes - the first of my first earlies is Annabelle, average yield, lovely waxy salad texture and a creamy flavour - would give them 7/10  ;D

Carrots and peas with dinner  ;D
Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

Strawberry's, Raspberry's, small turnips (raw) and a handful of Wok Broccoli (purple) delicious will grow this new variety again. at least six pickings per plant really recommend it. grew this broccoli last year.
