These are my violet sunflowers, they range from 3'-5' high and have about 6-8 flowers/heads on each and come free with a Gardeners World Magazine.
This is two flowers from one flower head(if that makes sense :P )
Growing amongst the beans
None of the giant sunflowers germinated :( but i'm well happy with what i have ;D

this one opened today, i got the seed from my neighbourand he can't remember the name of the variety. i think its a cut flower variety as its only about 4ft high and has a lot more heads to open.
i noticed this afternoon that this one actually turns to face the sun as the day progresses, yes!!!

oh dear i remember sowing some of those but the first batch didn't germinate so i sowed my neighbours into the same pots. it looks like some of mine germinated after all :-\.
nice to know, i won't throw away the seeds then :)
