I suspect we all have these but we're probably not going to give them away, especially not if we happen to be at the far end of the country from you! ;)
Try your local Freecycle.
Car boot sales.
EBay.
Shops like Wilkinsons/Lidl/Aldi/Pound Shops etc etc.

Sorry but I value my wheelbarrows more than most things I own.

Try putting an ad on your local freecycle site.
http://www.freecycle.org/
And enjoy your allotment!

Hope you get your wheelbarrow & enjoy your plot. If you don't get one we found the plastic trugs were great for humping stuff about in.

Freecycle will probably be a good place to ask, I see all sorts of gardening stuff being offered here. Also, in the meantime, I find laying heavier stuff on an old plastic tarpaulin and dragging is better than trying to lift.
Good luck with the plot :)

Moment, have you had a look on freecycle. We have 3 in our area & I registered with them all. It's a bit tedious going through the emails but you never know what you might miss ;D. Please keep us informed of your progress. Before we got our barrow others on site offered theres on loan, might be an option. Allotmenteerers are lovely people 8). Hope you've got lots of help with it.

Ryland make a light weight [but strong] plastic wheelbarrow which can be bought cheaply at some of the bigger markets. Where are you? There is a good market at Wellsbourne near Stratford-on- Avon. This wheelbarrow is super for transporting light but bulky stuff.

Hello and congratulations on your new allotment.
I scrounged a wheelbarrow from our local park because they were going to throw it away. It only needed the tyre repairing.
Probably Freecycle will be best for you but be prepared for the millions of emails. :)
My plastic mesh also came from the park. When contractors had finished the work they were doing, they were going to throw it away so I asked for it to be thrown my way!
Same with the green nylon netting stuff, this came from a building site.
