We caught Carrot - photo
« on: July 03, 2009, 14:58:18 »

We caught Carrot the feral tom at the allotments last night.  He is currently recovering at the vets after having his bits removed.  Someone is going to collect him at 4 this afternoon and bring him back to the allotments.  The CPL say that cats recover quickly after this operation so fingers crossed he will be alright.

When we took him to the vets this morning he (Carrot, not the vet) was remarkably calm and even let the vet stroke his (same again) head through the bars of the cage.

Ah Betty he looks ok. Was the pic before or after the op. Its so nice when people take on the responsibility of looking after the animals that locate the allotments.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I took that photo before the op Shirl.  My friend collected him from the vets at 4 this afternoon and put him and  the cage back where we caught him, but with the end open so he could get out.  I checked on him a couple of hours later and he'd gone from the cage but there was blood on the paper in it.  I suppose if he is able to walk he can't be too bad but I think I will contact the nice man from the CPL and see what he says.
