Carrot fly.

When is the best time to lift enviromesh to weed the carrot bed. It's got horsetail & bindweed growing through them. Will it be better to just snip the tops off because if I pull the MT it will pull up a load of carrots?

Damp evenings. Yes just remove the tops... the more soil you disturb the more fly will be attracted by the bruised carrots...  :-X
