So am I after growing Pruden's Purple last year- what a flavor :D

I'm trying Brandywine (named after the river near us  that we've canoed and
inner-tubed down ) but strangely from the same packet of seed I got some with potato leaf and some regular leafed.  A google search says there are two strains of Brandywine. I guess we'll get to compare them both.

Is this plant OK?-it has funny leaves-the amount times I have been asked that :)

And Pruden`s Purple is superb as is Brandywine(it has both types of leaves)

I must take note - those are Brandywine in the foreground.

I think potato leafed varieties are slightly prone to crossing so more variable on  seed saving  :-\

I know I`m preaching to the converted but for other readers support those trusses!!

Brandywine and a fair few others grow to be large-a truss can easily strip off from the stem

Hi
How would you support them?
Tie them to the stem or a cane or is there some other trick?

I used twisty rubber covered wire from the cane

Just hope they live up to current expectations.
