Runner beans wilted
« on: June 18, 2009, 19:03:24 »
I have two pots of runner beans (streamline) as bought from B&Q.

I haven't had chance to plant them as yet.

I have had them standing outside on the patio for two weeks or so, and they looked great......until today.

They have wilted and shrivelled up.

Can they be rescued? If so, how?

Pot bound?

I think the compost has dried out... give them a good soak, stand in water for a couple of hours... see what happens..  :-\

After you have given them a good soak wait till signs of life then pot them on in 5" pots for a week then plant out.

Got them back now to put some tread on them
