So you want to watch Cricket?
« on: June 15, 2009, 19:29:12 »
Gird your loins!! Six weeks ago, I stupidly asked permission to put up a Sky disk in an unseeable place on our listed house. See earlier notes.
So - 35 sheets of application - 7 e-mails - 3 'phone conversations - visit by 'highly trained' girl - we are 'granted consent'. I suppose they all have to exercise their supreme power to justify their
(?) Uni education??

And we are PAYING for this service in our Council Tax?

All the village said how stupid I was to ask. Most who ask don't get!!

Nice to see that my exhorbitant council tax is being put to a good use.  Pity they do not put some towards more allotments.

Glad you outwitted them in the end Tim..........I think my favourite part of your tale was when you submitted a mock up photo to show how insignificant the dish would look, and they thought it had already been installed......... ::)

I'm sure jumping through all of those hoops has satisfied someones need for red tape for years to come! ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
