Another good reason for making food from scratch.  Malt loaf is easy to make.

That could be a disgruntled employee. I don't know whether things have changed, but in 1980 I spent a season working in a 3-star hotel in Cornwall. We never saw a health inspector all season. Meat was kept till it smelled, and then turned into pate. This was kept till it smelled, and turned into stuffing. When this began to smell, it was offered to the staff, who naturally never touched it.
