Is Hamburg Parsley easier to grow than parsnips? Does it really taste like parsnips?
I had a total disaster with 'snips this year - zero germination and I love them!

I`ve only grown it once - just to try. I can`t say that it`s any easier to grow than parsnips because I never have any difficulty growing parsnips. It certainly doesn`t taste like parsnips, and I was told not to bother growing them again.

oh bother. I'll just have to try extra hard with the parsnips next year.
And thanks for the seeds Hugh. :)

Hi aqui,
Have you seen those special seeds that are treated (not chemically but with controlled moisture I think) so that they germinate more easily. They sell parsley and parsnips and others that are known to be difficult. I think Dobbies catalogue may have them. They are a little more expensive but worth it if you have had lots of trouble perhaps??

Tried growing once, but hubby weeded them out. Incidently, that year, we only had one parsnip in the row (the rest he thought were weeds)

He hasn't been there for ages - well, just to bring home the tubtrug of spuds and things. Earlier in the year, he built me a shed.
