Now Shirlton, don't be a numpty.  People here like you very much and personally I feel you didn't write anything untoward and have nothing to apologise or leave over.  I myself had a moment about 2-3 years ago when somebody offended me and I donned my drama queen crown, threw a hissy fit and left the board.  About two months later I really regretted it and sheepishly sidled back in  ;D ;D  The only thing you need to know is what these replies are telling you :)  Now drag your derrière back where it belongs :)

When you talk about my freinds that is what this site is about Friends with a mutual love of growing things.  If you have inadvertently offended a friend then a friend will take your apology on board.

For me it has been a joy to find a world full of like minded people.   Do not even think of abandoning this site.

The run away train went over the hill and she blew,
the run away train went over the hill and she blew,
the run away train went over the hill, the last we heard she was going still
and she blew ew ew ewew.

If you really do go, you will end up keeping going, and that aint good.

Ive got to try and persuade hubby to bring me to the open day as any sort of plant is my domain not his.  :-\
 Hubbys from central London and thinks the grass cracks in pavements are the countryside and any plant above 5 inches is a triffid and needs to be strimmed!!!

You cant blame him really with a dad like he had, and I was actually with his dad when he said this;

Imagine the scene, farmer leaning over a gate looking at his crop of yellow rape seed.

Farmer says " Lots of rape in the fields this year."
Father in law replied " The dirty barstewards, they ought to castrate them all!"

I couldnt breathe for 5 mins cos of laughing so hard. The farmer muttered under his breath "Townies Huh!" and wondered away. Father in law had no idea and I had to explain, once I could get my breath back of course.  ;D

Anway if Im not in Derbyshire in fact, I am in spirit.

Thank you for mailing Shirl Steve, she really does need to see this thread.  :)

its been a while since i said anything much on here but i do read the posts regularly some people i e shirl and many others are a great source of help and also amusing (as in friendly) posters i find it so sad that due to PC etc that shirl feels forced to quit,  sighing here its quite hard to say what  you think without starting a huge debate etc do any of us wish to become in a diluted way like the poor people  involved in the book of the wildswans by tung chang?? extreme example i know albeit as mentioned above diluted for what its worth shirl i say please do stay many would miss you and you have the right to speak/type unjudged or rather without worrying if your words will be misread i have always said and always will there is no intonation in text/type speak soz for the sermon hope it helps

I'll encourage her to read this lot, she's supposed to be at our Open Day, and if the weather doesn't buck it's ideas up I may have a lot of time on my hands.  ::)
