When you purchase any tool for the purpose of gardening or any other task.
If the item is defective or has another flaw to it the purchaser should or should not be entitled to a refund or replacement.
If both parties are in agreement that the item is faulty or has not been correctly advertised then they should agree to refund all to the purchaser.
When the product has a long guarantee thenthe tool should last that length of time.
If the product has been damaged in any way that the guarantee becomes void then the seller has the right to with hold refund.
If the product has a manufacturing flaw then the buyer has a right to a refund.
If you have another opinion thenadd it to this poll.
All comments will be looked at and not necessarily responded to at present.
all opinions have merit and need to be aired so have a go and see what others want to say.

Yes they should be entitled to a refund or replacement based on EU directive 1999/44/EC.

Quote
1. The seller shall be held liable under Article 3 where the
lack of conformity becomes apparent within two years as from
delivery of the goods. If, under national legislation, the rights
laid down in Article 3(2) are subject to a limitation period, that
period shall not expire within a period of two years from the
time of delivery.
