The previous occupant of our plot left two dwarf apple trees when we took it over. They were too close together so OH moved one (and broke it's tap root ::)) however, the other one gave us twenty odd apples in the first year we were there and 40ish last year!! It's only about waist high and we reckon its 3 or at most 4 years old. No idea of the variety, but its a useful number of apples for making chutney or pies etc. without being innundated.
Best of luck with yours! Hope you get some good fruit in years to come Twinkletoes. :)
