Carol and Steve, our allotment neighbours have said that they may come too Betty.

Brilliant!
I hope any A4A visitors will come and say hello to me before they dash for shelter in the pavilion and scoff a cream tea!  I will be on one of the plant stalls.  You will recognise me easily - I am a traditionally built, mature female (in other words a fat old woman  ;D)

12 till 2 tomorrow (Saturday)
The postcode is B42 2LR

The allotments are set just inside Perry Park and are next to the Alexander Althletics stadium so if you look for signs for that, you should find us easily.
Hope to see you tomorrow   :)

As I am lactose intolerant I won't be eating any cake... a ginger nut is always welcome though... and Kev, as I'm driving Deb won't be getting any petrol money off me...  ::)

Shame it is too far for me to go, or would love to come.  Hope the weather is better for you than it is here tonight in London, best of luck with it anyway.

I will happily eat your share of the cakes (ha!), and will happily give you some petrol money as long as you don't get caught by a speed camera LIKE LAST TIME..... ;) :-*

I do hope your boot is reinforced to take all the potential purchases...... ;D Not that I really have any room for any of course, but that has never stopped me before.... ;D

We should all wear badges with our avatars on for identification purposes, or you can just look out for my short bright red hair & red lippy....... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

We had a nice day today at Betty's plot. So nice to be able to put a face to the names. The rain kept off for most of the time for them which was good. The plants were selling well too. Will look forward to your open day Betty. Hope the weather isn't too bad tomorrow for our open day. Don't hold out much hope though. The forecast doesn't look too good.

It was lovely meeting you today Shirl and Tone, and your friends who came with you.  Also good to meet Saddad, Mrs Saddad and Deb P.
It was quite hectic at times and I'm sorry I didn't have more time to spend with you all.

We sold most of the plants, thank goodness, and made £473 on them.  The cream tea took £279 for Macmillan.

I've 'volunteered' the tea-making team to do the same at our Open Day on August 15th.  This is their first year with us at Walsall Rd and I don't think they realised what they were letting themselves in for when the took on their plots.  ;)

My feet are killing me so I'm going to sit down now. Thanks again to our lovely visitors for coming to support us.

Sorry Shirl, I forgot to wish you good luck for your open day tomorrow.  I wish I could come but I'm on tea/toast duty every Sunday.
Hope the weather stays reasonable for you.

Don't you get worrying about tomorrow Betty. You have been on yer feet all day today. Good idea the tea and toast morning. I will have to mention it to our commitee. You could certainly show them a thing or two Betty. I hope that we can keep in touch. You will be welcome to come to our plot whenever the fancy takes you. I would like to count you in as a friend.
