5.5hp engine wanted

Hey all


a long shot i know but im after a running 5.5hp engine for my rotie, willing to pay i know i wont get one for free, lol horizontal shaft
today i will be growin veg

I think you will find these engines are Chinese imports but they are based on the 5.5 Honda, :)

If they're anything like the Chinese dirt bikes that have Honda-copy engines then the quality varies tremendously, I'd think hard before parting with my cash for one.

If you look round you will pick up an engine no problem I've just paid £10.00 for a 3.5 honda although a non runner it only needed a clean up and off it went and more than likely built in China along with Briggs&Strattons, :)

i agree looks like i am going to dismantle my5.5hp honda genarator to put the engine in my rotavator.

i can always spark the tilley, but i dont like the spade ;D ;D ;D

yea, frame is upto the job, had a briggs on it before, will look on ebay but cant stand the site really.
did visit a farm sale and there was a huge self propelled one with 8 tines, diesel too,

went for 800.00  :o

                    I thought you had plenty of engines kicking about last year?, can't agree about e-bay just got hold of a 3.5 B&S for a tenner and mi Rotovator only cost me fifty quid, :)

Goodlife, dont just scout about for rotorvator engines you can also fit lawnmower engenes on as well.

I picked up a rotovator early on this year from a guy next plot to mine.
He used it regularily, but he broke the start cord on it .
Its got a 5.5 B and S industrial  engine on it .The one with the reverse being a little lever on side of the engine and the chrome air filter.
It was gonna be one of them projects that we get the urge for now andthen . ;)
It's still in the shed where I put it, taking room up..

yes did have plenty never kept a spare!! thanks to a fellow a4a. he has one in his way so, thankyou to him for the donation! cough ;D/ if he still has it??
