My rose bush is forever climbing for the heavens,i chop it down hard every year and it still never bushes out.
Any advice ??no idea what type it is(before you ask)
If it ain't broke don't fix it !!

Might be a rambler or climber then Steve, rather than a bush type. Mine is up to the second floor already!

Leave it alone this year and let it do its own thing.  It`ll probably delight you with a dazzling display of bloom 15ft above ground.   I once bought a bush Madame Butterfly that did that.  In the end I just let it grow and it found its way up a nearby silver birch.  Now I have the only silver birch that`s covered with Madame Butterfly blooms in July.
