How long do you keep the marrows on the plant? this one is 17" long and 10"thick at the broad end.
it's the smallest of 7, they are all still firm and still growing :D but do i cut them off now or wait till the frosts come?

Peter it is ok to cut your marrows off now and store them in a cool frost free place. Do not wait until frost comes before you pick them as they will be killed. Hope this helps you out. ;)

It needs sharpening D-P :-\ it couldnt cut butter at the moment ;) so will have to do with a 3 ft machette, it's a shape as a knife, but i will wear kevlar gloves just to make sure i still have 10 fingers when the job is done ;D .
