I hate dock weeds -- help me destroy them
« on: September 15, 2004, 20:30:44 »
My plot is over run with the buggers -- is there a way of getting rid of them that will save me from digging up endless roots -- frankly its getting pretty dull.
Would napalm be my best bet? >:(

Hi muddy
What you could try is cutting them down to ground level and then pour some salt onto the exposed top of the root. This is handy if you've only got a few, but a glyphosate based spray works well on larger areas. Hope this helps!

hi muddy,
Roundup kills em roots and all that is a glyphosphate solution...
If they amongst stuff you are growing mix as suggested on bottle and paint it on leaves of docs with a  paint brush..
Otherwise do as Spurdie suggests, mix as suggested and spray it on em, dont chop tops off first though like you do with salt..
Glyphosphate needs to go on leaves
cheers Jim...
Cheers .. Jim

Best way to get rid of them is as growmor says, but remember to keep hoe the ground a few weeks after as you will no doubt have no end of seedlings to come through.
