Busy Lizzies from plugs
« on: April 17, 2009, 09:30:30 »
Hi - I bought some buzy lizzie plug plants (very cheap from Aldi - not all of them survived!) I know they're very tender so I can't put them in my cold greenhouse yet, and they're now in 3" pots on a warm bedroom windowsill, very bushy but only an inch or two tall. I've noticed they're forming lots of little flower buds -should I pinch them out at this stage? Does this mean I'm keeping them too warm?

Thanks!

Thanks Tee Gee, perhaps I do need to lower the temperature and harden them off. That may stop them flowering! I just wondered if pinching out the flower buds might help to build up their vigour for later. I could try doing it to some and not others to see what happens.

Thanks again.
