My other half bought this plant for me. I've kept it in a cool place indoors. I don't know what it is, but think it could be an outdoor plant?

It looks like a Kalanchoe to me which is an indoor plant.

Thanks for looking. You are both correct and it explains why I couldn't find it in my Encyclopedia of Garden plants and flowers.
