Quinoa?
« on: April 06, 2009, 14:52:35 »
 :-\

Anyone eat it regularly? I cooked it the other week, and it was probably my fault, but it was 'orrible!

Suggestions or comments?

Think it was just that I did nothing with it! I rinsed it, cooked as per instructions and served it plain as you would rice or couscous etc. Maybe I should have done something else with it to perk it up?

Not something I have tried. I find white bread, rice, pasta, cous-cous, and similar type things bland, meant to fill us up rather than give an explosion of taste. I am always adding tasty things to them.

I found this on line.

I've never tried it, but I'm curious now I've read this post and the link. It definietly sounds like you need to spice it up with garlic, onions etc and it would depend on what you serve it with.
As I'm always looking for new ideas I'll have to source some.
Thanks
