Isn't it great when nature helps?
« on: April 14, 2009, 16:08:52 »
Some of you will recall me raving about Tree Spinach (Chenopodium giganteum) last year.  I saved lots of seed and was going to sow some at the weekend - but I don't need to.  Today I found lots of lovely little seedlings growing away happily in the hanging basket adjacent to where they grew. So I've pricked them out into individual pots and that's one less sowing job for me.   :)

This must be about the right time to sow the ones you sent me then, Georgie... I was planning on leaving it a couple of weeks!

Thanks

Ollie

Yes get them in, Ollie.  BTW, the Tumbling Toms you sent me germinated really well and I now have a number of sturdy little plants pricked out on the windowsill.   :)

Good, I love it when a plan comes together. I found the yellow ones I was going to include the other day... they were lower yield though so you probably wouldn't have wanted them!
