Braod bean attack
« on: April 12, 2009, 13:01:18 »
My broad beans which are about 9" high are being eaten by something round the edge of the leaves.  It is too even for slugs .  All the edges are serrated. neatly.

They'll be OK, the weevils don't do serious damage. From the title, I thought your BB's had turned the tables and attacked something else!

Thanks for replies.  You never know they might turn the tables one day.  Glad to know they will be O.K.  I am pleased with how well they are doing so far.

Yep, thats the pea & bean "notcher" weevil. They like to hide in the curled top new leaves of broad beans.
