Oh, I can give you roots - how many roots would you like??!!  ;)

I've got a nice variegated apple mint in a pot that needs potting on.  Any good to you?  I've also got the plain old ordinary mint too if that's what you're after.

You could also go to your local supermarket and buy a pack of mint, and take cuttings.

It is an easy way of increasing your stocks.

French tarragon is another herb you can propagate by this method.

.....and I've got some non-variagated apple mint too as well as the 'ordinary' stuff...and somewhere I've got a really pretty one....curry mint perhaps?...small variagated leaves, low growing...thing is, I might not be able to find it all til it starts coming through, but I spect that won't be too long now. Any good?

lbb, I'll pot them on at the weekend and sort you out some root sections.  Don't worry about sending anything, not necessary.  :)

As Mint is promiscuous, it very rarely comes true from seed.

In a few weeks time (around Easter) the GC's will be full of 3.5" pots of every kind of mint going - and there are quite a few. At about £1.25-£1.50 their good value.

Pot them into a bukkit this year and it'll be packed full of roots this time next year, plant it out and by year 2 it'll have taken over the garden. Year 3 - the world, and you'll be giving cuttings away.

My fav's are Black spearmint and Moroccan mint.
