Topic: Used compost

I've been tidying up in the garden this morning and have three grow bags which had tomato plants in them.  The tomatoes had blight and I cut the plants off and disposed of them as soon as I realised.  My question is, can I put the old compost on my allotment or will this be asking for trouble?  I'm fairly sure blight is airborne and does not affect soil but I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts please.

Blight is such a nightmare I would bin it for the sake of a few quid, it's not worth the risk??

Use it; the fungus can only survive on living tissue, and there won't be any of that left from your toms! If you're worried, dig it in well.

i put any suspect compost on my flower beds.

I'd put it down in my bean trench rather than waste it  :)
