Growing Broad Beans in containers

Last year I tried the dwarf variety of 'The Sutton' and I was very disappointed with the results - I only got a few pods from three plants. Can anyone recommend a better variety for containers please?

Another other dwarf one I know of is Bonny Lad, which grows taller (to about 18") than The Sutton. As to what it's like I don't know!
