Do you think strwberryies are best with straw under them? I heardd that slugs breed like mad under there. I fancy havng a go though to keep weeds down and strawberries off the dirt.

Thats what I do Carcan, not sure about the breeding ground for slugs bit though, but it does seem to work in that the strawbs are kept off the ground. I was thinking of trying to use shredded paper instead this year to see if it is as effective as straw. Some people use weed suppressant for the strawb bed that way it keeps the weeds down as well!

that right saddad,you need a forklift

to move the large ones

At 18 I worked on a pig farm, tried to move one myself which was sat on a trailer wonky and tore the muscle in my right shouler. Still gives me problems 7 years later!
Learned how great forklifts were after that ....and asking for help  :D
