Drivers dvd and youtube

Please can anyone tell me how I can download videos from youtube. Also I find that I can no longer play my gardening DVD on my machine I did have a free DVD player but lost it when I had to windows due to hard disk failure

download VLC media player, free download. the play anything media player

i would go with vlc player aswell plays anything
