Will these peas climb up bamboo canes or will I need to put some netting around the bamboo wigwams?

You'll need netting, beans twine, peas cling.  :)

I grow mine up wigwams with lots of string spiralled round. Eight-foot poles pushed well in are about right for tall peas.
