soppy voice
« on: February 08, 2009, 11:31:07 »
Is there anybody else here that is getting very annoyed at the Tesco voice over? She sounds a right soppy twit and is also popping up on other adverts  and programmes where we have to be sorry for sick animals. Not that I am not sorry, I just don't want that soppy bint telling me so.

I think I would nearly accept one of those daft  american gravel eating voice overs than listen to her again.

What the hell do they think of their customer base to believe that is the sort of person the shoppers accept. Insulting is the word that comes to my mind.

Another place I cannot use now until they change. Along with phones4u, elephant.co and loads of others I just can't get my head around at the moment

Smug g**! :P

Whilst I can't stand that woman's voice either, I hate the Americanised voice overs even more......interesting how the proliferation of Scottish voices (apparently perceived by the public as more trustworthy than an English accent) used for banking type ads has stopped since Gordon Brown has been PM..... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I don't care what she has done, she has a very annoying voice, but thanks for warning me, I would hate to have an evening at the flicks spoilt by that silly cow.

The last time I looked I think I was still 'public'!!!!I have never been asked about the scots voice, In fact remembering such characters as Charlie Endel in Budgie, I would not trust them an inch. Somebody must have lied to us. I bet it was another scotsman they are good at that.

I think the greatest invention of the 20th century was the mute button on the remote control.

The adverts may be on, but I don't hear them. ;D ;D

At least that's when I'm watching live, when its recorded we fast forward.

I used to work for a brewery company in the 1980s-90s, which had a Marketing Department.  I don't know what they were snorting, but they came up with some weird, wonderful and ludicrous adverts. ;D ;D

Women have always been told their place is at the kitchen sink, scrubbing floors and letting the bog get so dirty they need an 'expert' to come in to tell them where they are going wrong.

Rant over.  It's time for my afternoon nap. ;D ;D
