Kids are off school, the local college I was conducting interviews in closed shortly after ten.  Then it threw another hour of heavy snow at us.  Bright sunshine now, but apparently more due tomorrow and Thursday and possibly into the weekend.  Very pretty, but ungritted roads and pavements are horrendous!
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!

Pavements were very slippery on the way to work on the back roads, the main roads are pretty clear, the sun is out but no signs of thawing. Isn't it amazing though all these people off work but none of the lazy barstards will clear their  paths or the fronts of their houses.  >:( :o :-X   ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

If folk clear the path in front of their house, and you then fall over on it, guess what ? you can sue them for not doing a proper job!!  ;D ;D ;D
You couldn't make it up!

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

;D Boss just told me to stay at home.  Was due to do inductions in Bristol.  RE arranged for Monday.  Snowed most of the night, OH on holiday at moment so he's pleased I'm home.  But won't get paid for it.  Only 1 lane open on M4 between Swindon and Bristol.  About 5 inches of snow.  What area are you garden girl? :) :)

Snow falling steadily on ice here on the edge of Staffs.  I was supposed to be going up to The Borders this weekend, but that looks like it's off.  I can walk the 3/4 mile to town no problem, but getting the car out is a no -no.  OH took the 4x4 this morning & phoned back to say he was having fun sliding on the main roads.  Spookily quiet with so little traffic which all adds to me going quietly stir crazy working at home in my loft all week.

If I start posting weird stuff, just ignore me.
is it in the sale?

Felt for the radio Derby announcers this morning and their 11 page list of school closures.

Youngest is delighted - his school was the only one in this area that opened on Wednesday, but even they've had to give up today because the buses couldn't get through. As the bus picks up in our village at 10 past eight, would have been nice if they'd notified us before 9.35 though. We still aren't on the list ::) although that's where the school said they would put details.

Another inch or two here in Birmingham overnight, which means the City has ground to a halt, no trains or buses, schools and collages closed irrespective of staff getting in or not.

However, long queues reported to get in & out of all the supermarkets and Blockbusters.  ???
