I got mine today from our little local nursery, altho no international kidney so will have to find them somewhere else.  I didn't buy by weight.

12 seed spud Rocket
12 seed spuds Kestrel
15 seed spuds Pink Fur Apple
12 Wilja
12 Maris something or the other...non piper or peer, can't remember what now.

All that lot for £9 which I am happy with.

Got catalogues from Dobies and DT Brown this week- both asking 6.96 or 7.95 for 3kg.

We unloaded 60 x 25kg sacks of spuds to be sold in our lottie shop from this weekend.  Broken down into 3kg bags to sell in our lottie shop.  18 varieties are only £2 per 3kg,  1 variety is £2.20 and another is £2.60.

With it being our first year on the plot, I thought I'd try cover a fair bit with potatoes. I already have some Maris & PFA so had to really talk myself out of buying loads more at Wilkies. I got some Arran Pilot (....and some strawberries & shallots).

Looks like there'll be more room for lottie stuff in our Wilkies when the Xmas tat is (finally!) gone :)

I went in today and they're just beginning to put the gardening stuff out.  Seed spuds and onion sets will be there middle of next week.  But, unfortunately, they did have the seeds out  ;)

In addition to their own brand they've got new ones from Johnsons' called World Kitchen and World Botanicals (flowers).  The World Kitchen ones are unusual varieties (I spotted the very long pointy cabbage) and not too expensive either, all under £2.

They had some fruit bushes - their Right Price brand are £1 - rasps, blackcurrants etc.  The 'expensive' fruit is £4 - lemon, kiwi fruit, fig, grapevine etc.

Also went to the 99p Shop.  Almost no gardening stuff yet apart from a few hanging baskets and hand tools.

Went in today and thank heavens I did as they were almost out of spuds.  Got 6kg of aran pilot, 6 of maris peer and 6 of desiree.  Also little mini bags of 5 tubers so got 1 of pink fur apple and 1 of rooster.  Not tried either of those before, so though I'd do those in pots out the garden.  Mind you lugging nearly 20 kilos of spuds up the high street was interesting!
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!
