Does anyone here grow orchids?

I can't replicate the conditions they need, unfortunately,  but if I ever could....take a look at the picture of White Egret, Habenaria radiata, on P2 of the T&M catalogue. Isn't that just beautiful? Anyone tempted?

Always tempted, always buy them, then they just sit there, never to flower again!  My friend has them on a draughty windowsill, waters them straight from the tap, and they reward her with THE most stunning flowers.  GGRR!

OH manages to keep them alive... one has flowered three times now (cheapskate!)  ;D

I have bought 3 one died the others are fine (one 4 years now) doing well.  I used to give them tap water but now rainwater.
