Can anyone tell me if 30 'high' alerts per day on Zone Alarm is normal.I can identify my ISP, but most seem random attempts at access. Also is my IP address supposed to change each day.???

what is the alert ? if its netbios stuff you can ignore it.
If you are on an intermittent dialup connection ( either modem or ADSL) then its likely your IP adress will change between connections . If youve a broadband connectiontht you never switch off, your IP address will likely remain the same , unless your ISP disconnects yo for some reason ( eg something falls over at his end)

Thank you Maestro...had thought to locate some of these 'hackers' and put them into Internet Option s...Privacy... Edit, the same as I do with persistent cookies.
