Guinea pig poo?
« on: December 29, 2008, 19:50:26 »
Someone is offering guinea pig manure on Freecycle, has anyone used this?

Does it need to be rotted down or can it be put straight on the soil, or should it be put on the compost heap? And does it stink as badly as I remember?!

They regularly offer several bags of the stuff so the mind boggles at how many animals they have!

I have over 70 piggies and its the best manure you can get!! it heats up very fast as there is a lot of wee in it, it can smell but if its oing on the compost heap its fine, i used it in the bean trench newspaper the lot !
You can dig trenches on the plot and put it in and potatoes love it !
As i can use it all i put it out for other plot holders and it goes very fast !!!
