Music tracks burn`t to CD-R 48x-- Play ok thro Computer--Windows Player lastest edition with Vista Home premium. If I try and play them in Car Radio/Cassette or a Portable cd player --NO MUSIC IS HEARD,have tried various Blank Cd discs. The cd disks I am using, are the same type that were OK, in my previous Computer. Any ideas please.

Have you made sure the discs are finalised/closed ie, not multi-session?

Was it burnt as an audio or data?
Does it work in the home dvd player?

Hi Neil
When in W/Player and I hit BURN on r/hand side of this menue, appears`cd drive `d` data disc 702mb--no option to change Audoi to Data.As earlier stated, have always used these same CD discs and all was ok .I have now got hold of a new cd recordable digital audio disc and burn`t that, still the same. Also used new DVD RW disc. All don`t work in home CD player or Car.

If it burns as a data disc, then normal cd players will not play them. As far as i know music burnt as data is classed as mp3.

How many songs can you get on a cd?
If its about 20 and full then it has not been converted to mp3, if its about 7 albums then it is mp3.

I can't help on media player as use Nero to burn cd's.

Update: I have just opened mp11 and when i click on the burn tab, a drop down menu appears giving a choice of Audio or Data.

Are you sure you have Audio selected?

Simple answer:) Stop using winplayer to burn..it's lubbish:) Get your self a copy of Nero and it's much better.
