Description of regeneration to date and how this has been achieved:
• A formal committee was introduced in 2000. Since then we have erected security
fencing, purchased rotavators, erected storage and office facilities, built
composting toilets and a communal composting bin.
• Funding for this has been obtained from the South Yorkshire Key Fund, Awards
for All, Spade, Central One Community Forum, Shell Better Britain Campaign and
the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund Community Chest. We have also had in-kind
support from B&Q.
• New plot holders have been attracted through our involvement with other local
groups and by word of mouth. We have also encouraged our local youth club to
take up a plot and a centre for adults with learning difficulties also have their own
garden.
