jars for chutney

i need to get some jars for a friend for christmas,
she wants to make jam/chutney/pickles
do you need the same jars for them all
i dont want ones that look like plain jam jars
and she would prefer them to be 1/2 lb  jars (or what ever that is in kg)
any ideas  web links

  Lakeland do all sorts of cooking items.  I got some lovely pot bellied shape jars from them.  They do different sizes of jars.  Some you need to order the lid separately.  If you put in www.lakeland it should come up ok.

Ikea have preserving jars for 99p I have used them and they are fine but becarefull when heating in oven ti steralise
