Peas, Beans and Carrots
« on: January 27, 2009, 11:28:33 »
Hi, Just about to start 2nd year on an allotment (bigger new virgin plot) and have excess of :

Johnsons Carrot - Parmex (Globe) - Full packet
Wilko French Bean Ferrari - Half Packet
Wilko Pea - Hurst Green Shaft - Half Packet

If anyone has anything 'different/interesting' for me to try that would be fun.

What a shame, nobody loves me or my seeds.
Is it something I've said, or are the seeds just too boring?

Welcome to the site Pink Fingers...
I think the big problem is things fall off the front page too quickly, I've been on every day this week and have only just seen this.
There is nothing there that I want, but if you want some odd (Heritage HSL) French beans, peas or Toms PM me and I'll knock you up a lucky bag...  ;D

Only just picked up on this thread again Littlebabybird.

If the offer is still there, anything out of the ordinary means just that (what a novice wouldn't normally consider)  pretty please.

This is only my second year on an allotment and this year I have a brand new one (previously growing farmer's maize) which is larger and needs filling up.  I've got the bog standard onions, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, beans, have ordered asparagus and am starting sweet corn and butternut squash.
