Hmmm, not sure.  I've read that these Firs can get cones even when 'quite young' but I'm not sure what that means.  If it's otherwise healthy it may just be a case of being patient?

I'm no expert by any means but I don't think that is a Korean Fir in the picture.

I did a bit of a search and came up with this picture and as you can see your branches(needles) are in a different formation.

Are you confident it is a Korean Fir?
I know they have cones early in life but I would have thought a few more years yet, say at 10 to 15 years.
I expect like anything they will produce cones more when stressed so dont go giving it lots of feed. Perhaps you could talk to it angrily and annoy it ;D
I first saw them at Dartington Hall in Devon when I did my forestry training course there in the late sixties. They were producing cones at about ten to fifteen years old but of course I do not know how long they had been producing cones for.
I must say they are lovelly looking trees.

I suspect that's equivalent to demanding to know why a five-year-old isn't pregnant yet!

frogslegs i dont think it is They have a dead-straight, upright trunk and branches that stick out firmly, all at exactly the same angle, clothed in needles that are broader, fleshier and somehow more lush than the sharper ones we are used to.

Everything about them is very geometric, exact and immaculately groomed - not a needle out of place

I will dig out my books and see if it is a Korean Fir, but as you didnt buy it from a boot fair, so to speak, I would guess it is what they say it is.
Dont worry about male and female, I am pretty sure both are on the same tree.
