Think we've had a thread on this before- hardly surprising. If you could afford to buy a new car, why would you have a 10 yr old one to scrap?

 er, er well, actually, that`s what I do - about every 12 years when the main dealer offers me a decent discount because he`s so fed up with seeing mine in his workshop.  Trouble is that with anything decent that £2,000 will come off the value of your new car the moment you drive the car out of the dealers.

But my present one`s only 9 and a bit, so he`ll have to wait another year or two.

I like old vehicles.  They've got more character.  There easier to mend.  And the other half doesn't go mad when they have giant daisies stuck on the spare tyre
(on the rear of the car) and all down the sides. ;D ;D  I can chuck what ever I want in the back without him indoors going ape.  Tows the trailer.  Why would I want a new car? ;D ;D
