Back in the swing
« on: October 05, 2008, 12:31:11 »
Hi all,

just got my moles seed catalogue, and it as finally given me the kick up my ar*e I needed. As one or two of you knew I lost my Father about 18 month ago, and as he was with me up the lottie so much it hurt me to be up there with out him. I have not got over losing Him do not think I ever will but things are getting easier for me to handle now, so back to looking at the catalogue and deciding what to grow next year. Hope you have all had a good growing year and all are well.
 All the best

 From Richard.

RICHARD!!! (big up'n'down'wavy'smiley thingy!!) It's me, Lishka - changed my name to Hyacinth because I am, after all, THE Original Bukkit Lady ;) ;D

Very many welcomes back 8) I know what it's like losing someone so v.v. close ...for me, way to go is, while mourning the passing, be grateful that you had the presence, which is still there with you.....and hey! that grandson of yours, must be quite the Little Gent now? How's he getting on?

So.....planning a new year.....what have you got in mind? Gotta be cabbages, Him Upthere would be pleased.... ;D

Hi Richard. I got the gardening bug from my Mum, she also died 12 months ago. She lived 12000 miles away in NZ but she eagerly waited to hear my latest news from my allotment. When she died I lost the urge to continue for a while and my plot got out of control a bit...I'm still trying to catch up but my Mum wouldn't have wanted me to give up.

I'm determined to have success with my asparagus as she said not to bother it was too much trouble to grow! Need to prove her wrong.

Hi RK good to see you back mate, as Rosebud says he'll be watching over you, so you better put your back into it mate, my Grandad died last week and was a keen gardener but I never had the chance to show him my lottie, he was 96 so had a bloody good innings, so best of luck to you mate.  ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.
