We have a competition for the heaviest pumpkin and marrow every year at the allotments. Once it's over the pumpkins are generally left there to rot because they are too big for most people to use (and move!)
This year, I decided to try something different and contacted a Sikh Gurudwara in Birmingham because I knew that meals are provided free of charge there to anyone, regardless of religion. They were delighted and are coming to collect our surplus after the competition.
Hope they send some strong people because the pumpkins are looking heavy!
