Hubby is having another competition at the pub next year, he needs to grow the biggest tomato, any varieties that people reccomend would be appreciated and also if anybody has tips for growing a monster I would appreciate them.
Many thanks

The biggest I ever grew was an orange HSL variety called Oxheart which produced tomatoes over 1kg each without any special care, other than stopping the plant falling over!!
I'd send you some seed but we stopped growing it years ago... maybe some one else has some. If it is in this years list I'll get some!!

German Giant can reach 2 1/4 lbs
Italain Sweet can reach 2 3/4
Aussie, my personal favourite can make over 3
Some of the pretty bi colours will make the weight shown too
Neves Azorean Red will reach up to 3lbs
Goliath can reach 3 and has beeen known to make 3 1/2
