« on: November 23, 2008, 09:30:56 »
In July Bert my rabbit lost his friend Belle. We were not going to get another one but he was so lonely on his own. Enter Alexis. They hit it off right away and he is back to his old self again. Teaching her to come into the kitchen fridge to get her veg

I'm afraid they have been spayed. There are enough homeless bunnies out there. Trouble is that grown ups often buy them for the children and the children in the first place don't know enough about them to look after them properly. Others soon get bored with them when they get  bigger. Right off me soap box now. Lish , Alexis will be returned unopen despite Berts persistant efforts. They are both rescue rabbits. Bert was found on a motorway car park and Alex hadn't been given the proper food and her teeth had overgrown so much that she couldn't eat.

...so Alex....did she need her teeth filed down or did it happen naturally once she had a proper diet, Shirl?

Despite her unfortunate start, she's got a good home with you and Bert. Result!  8)

Yes Lish she had already had her teeth seen to in the rescue. They keep the rabbit until they are sure that they are ok. They do a great job you know. Every rabbit that comes in gets spayed and innoculated before they get a home.
