Identification needed please

Hi can anyone tell me what this plant is called, I am going to confess to you all that I planted this plant into my allotment thinking it was a pepper plant, dur

Its a bit far away but it looks like a Hibiscus to me.
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

I stand corrected too Kingfisher. Much better to see its a Lavatera close up. ;)

Are you going to keep it? tis pretty, though as you probably know it can get rather large

Say it 'LAV ERR TER ERR'  makes it sound better, just a pity the plant is rubbish. It gets out of hand and spreads very quickly if not looked after.

My tips for looking  after it, is prune to the ground immediately, then dig up the root, and weedkill the area. ;D

As you may gather, not my favorite plant.

Thanks for the offer Kingfisher, my garden is far too small to grow something so large that I cant eat :-\
