Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire.

Greenhouse tomatoes all got blight at the end of August.  I had two tomato plants which I put in a flower bed in front of the house and they started showing signs of blight a week ago.

I only grew a few potatoes and they were in pots outside.  They showed no signs of blight but the foliage died off quickly.  When I dug some out yesterday there were a few rotted ones in the compost.  This may have been due to being over watered with all the rain that we have had this year.

I got it on my potatoes on Northampton allotment and on my tomatoes growing outside at home.

The neighbouring allotment to me had most of their (outside) tomatoes ravaged by blight.

I am thinking of getting Sarpo Mira potatoes next year.  But they are expensive compared to Desiree and others.

I grew S Mira and S Axonia this year. S Mira leaves died off first. I think I should have dug them up earlier (waiting for a dry day ha ha ) when I did brave the mud and dug them up there was a lot of slug damage and quite a few rotton ones don,t know whether this was blight or because of the slugs but will keep a eye on the good ones if they go rotton it is blight
S Axona,s hualms stayed green a lot longer, didn,t have as much slug damage or rotton ones. will watch how these are storing as well
found I liked the taste of both although found both best steamed or baked in jackets
will grow both again but might spray and dig up earlier and of course this year has been wet and hopfully could be a bit dryer next year

Looks like some of my outdoor toms have blight as of now - just Roma, Latah seem fine but still green. No time to deal with it today but hopefully I'll get home early enough to deal with it tomorrow. Greenhouse ones are OK so far.

I'm in Woking, Surrey and my main crop spuds got hit at the allotment in Mid August, thankfully the spuds themselves have been fine.

Outdoor tomato's were hit about 2 weeks ago.

Hi, just back from hls so didn' read yr post til then.  I'm in Cornwall where it's been raining forever.  Potatoes (plot and pfa) all blighted in July.  Tomatoes, grown in pots at home all blighted early September.

(Beans, very very poor crop.  Pumpkins, both sets planted eaten by the hordes of slugs which overtook lottie.  Courgettes only just now giving a few weedy specimens.)

the SW does appear to be hit quite badly as does central England with less numbers up north and beyond. coastland don't seem to be hit to badly either maybe the high winds keeps it moving ???.
