Lidl cant be that bad of as they have been doing a bit of sponsorship at our big Flower show in Dundee they have been giving away packets containing 20 crocus bulbs etc. so they still must be making a few bob yet.

Just thought i'd say bacon I used to buy at Tesco's I had a shock it was £1.17 last year now £1.77. I should around and use all the supermarkets including Lidl but I found they were not cheap for everything anyway as they did use the same amounts as other supermarkets. Ie Tesco cornflakes sell 500g a couple pence dearer than Lidl which sold them in 400g.

Shame I can't grow meat!

Funny how you and your mate mustava are never on line at the same time - perhaps you have to share a PC as well as the pod.  ??? ??? ???

We have got a Lidl opened in Enfield.  I went there once and bought a collapsible wheelbarrow, very cheap.  I suppose it is a good shop if you have the time to look, but I must say I HATE IT.  It is depressing and down beat and makes me want to scream, it is next to Argos so it is doubly depressing, and a trip round Superdrug then Woolworths and I have to go to the allotment and dig.  I think my worst shop is B & Q, I must be getting old course I pay more and shop in the local small shops where they speak to me.  I don't want to offend anyone but I really, really hope they close down and go back where they come from.  Have they lost millions of pounds or millions of customers, people lost in their horrible depressing shop.

Since we don't live near a Lidl or an Aldi I would have to drive well out of my normal way to get to one, which would defeat the object and add to my carbon footprint.  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
