Supersprout on the Box
« on: September 03, 2008, 21:52:43 »
Did anyone else see the Grow Your Own Veg repeat  tonight? It featured Sarah on her plot. I missed it last time, so I was glad of the opportunity to see it.

I just watched it too, weren't we lucky to know her?  :'(  She was so knowledgable and I learnt so much from her.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00795d8/

I hope this is the link to it.

I went into iPlayer, then categories, then factual, then homes and gardens and it is in the alphabetical listing.  I have never done this before so there may be an easier way, but at least I found it.

Enjoy..

^^ Well, you're entitled to your opinion but this thread isn't actually about the programme, it's about a lovely lady featured on it who was a cherished member of this site before she passed away.  Now I appreciate you may not have known this, but having read the posts preceding yours, there are clues!  >:(

mustavagander, before you shoot your gob off, it might help if you research a bit more deeply the supersprout thread.

She was a much loved, and revered member of this site who sadly passed away.

She is sorely missed

It was so great to see it again, every time someone says "passata" I think of her, and there were the bottles on the greenhouse staging...

Calm down calm down....dont over react. ::)

He never mentioned the person in question... Mustavagander said the "program" was crap, which it was.. Yes it was an off topic comment - but it was'nt a dis-respectful comment was it now.

Just great - I've now got a couple of screenshots of her to add to those when she visited - & took all my Kilners!!

Not very flattering photos though.

I have the program on cd that someone from here sent me just after Supersprout passed away. I only knew the lady for a very short while but she made a lasting impression on me. Everytime I mulch the plot with straw I think of her.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Mustava, I did think there would be folks here now who wouldn't know what I was on about, so perhaps I should have clarified things. Sorry.
I totally agree, CK is irritating at the best of times. Even my 20something non gardening daughter commented on the fact. :o
