No not far at all Emagggie we have friends who live in the High St GW near the roundabout to Little Wakering. How long have you had your allotment?

3 years now TEYman. Nice smallish site, though frustrating as no-one is interested in having any kind of community or commitee. Most know each other very well indeed ;D, and are older than me (I'm quite old 8)), so I suppose they don't see the need.
Where is your site in Westcliff?

Hiya,
We're up by waitrose and the new B&Q!
Have a half plot that we got about 2 months ago. So far we've dug half of it over and have a variety of bits in already, plus I've been making a fence to keep the rabbits out! ;) Unfortunately we just don't get a lot of time, especially now the old nights are drawing in! :(

Hi Emaggie I can't see that I replied to your last post .. apologies. I have 2 half plots side by side at the Springfiled allotments opposite Southend Hospital (behind the bunglows). It's quite a large site around 200 plots I guess. All the people I've met are friendly and ready to impart their knowledge which is great. Only been allotmenteering since May 07 so probably not up to your standard.
Hi to siandc too welcome to allotmenteering I hope you get as much enjoyment out of your plot as I have out of mine. That's the nw Fosset Farm development isn't it so they've made allotments their too excellent are there many plots?

That's right, we've got a plot on the old part of the allotment although they are planning to clear some more further back closer to the new development. There's over 100 plots and wil probably be making about another 50 once the space has been cleared.
